Ballet Academy Ventura (BAV), a prestigious youth-based dance school
THE VENTURA COUNTY BALLET COMPANY HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY
The Ventura County Ballet Company (VCBC) was established in 1998 as the non-profit in-residence performance company of Ballet Academy Ventura (BAV), a prestigious youth-based dance school founded in 1992 by Kathleen Noblin. The magic onstage masks the hard work behind, as Ventura County’s best young dancers rehearse and perform alongside seasoned professionals, refining their technique and cultivating artistic expression. Ms. Noblin’s vision is to create the highest caliber ballet performances possible, both to delight and thrill audiences, but more importantly to provide her students with experience in the production and performance of professional ballet.

Ventura County Ballet Company is the premier dance ensemble in our area
The curriculum, taught in the most basic classes at BAV through the pre-professional rigor of the VCBC, emulates Russian-style ballet based on the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum. This consistently produces young artists who are accepted into the most prestigious ballet company summer intensive programs around the nation, including the American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet, Pacific Northwest and San Francisco Ballet Companies, Ajkun Ballet Repertory Theatre, and Boston Ballet.   More
